All About Flu

Rumors circulate that the bird flu will be the next big pandemic disease among humans. Recently there have been mass vaccinations in Russia and Uzbekistan. Maybe a country like Russia can handle this but I doubt Uzbekistan can. Do you think the bird flu can be stopped? If so, how? I'm very concerned since it will not be possible to vaccinate all people and it can spread fast.

The bird flu is very scary and now there is a new disease in the same area being carried by pigs. It is also a type of flu as well?

Maybe you're thinking of the mad cow disease? I think pigs can get that one but I'm not sure. Anyway, it's not a flu.

I live in one of the areas where lots and lots of
birds are raised for food. They frequently get the flu, especially in times when the market is
not selling well, the Government bails them out

before it comes over here i hope people has enough intelligence to get prepared and not wait for it to be here then try to start get getting ready.

because people do not think it will happen to them, they do not prepare. People are busy with their own lives, and put it off. Hospitals even seem to think it is too big to prepare for, so we had better be prepared to take care of ourselves, and not depend on the gov. The bottom line is we all need to get ready in some way in our local area. Actually that goes for most mass casualty incidents. Like 'the big one', in Calif. We all take it for granted that hospitals and the gov will be there for us, but that is just not the case. We are depending on a fantasy. Even if the Avian Flu is not the next pandemic, it is bound to happen.
