Re: Flu treatment advice needed. Drinking fluids is one of the methods. But now you need to purify the blood as well. Make strawberry jam tea. Take straberry jam and add it hot water and drink like a tea. This will help to make you sweat out the toxins in your body. Then you need to eat garlic and onions (lots of it).

Re: Flu treatment advice needed. At the first signs of a flu or cold I start taking 1000mg of vitimine C every couple hours. I do this for a couple of days and generally feel much better. Best of luck and hope it works for you. I do not take any kind of medications for my flu. They may aleviate the symptoms, but they do nothing to cure the problem.

Re: Flu treatment advice needed. Fever, chills, head/chest congestion...all that wonderful stuff:
try a sip or two of Blackberry Brandy, then hit the bed...definately helps with the chest congestion...
OR
try a whiskey hot toddy - - 1 TBSP lemon, 1 TBSP honey (then add to taste), 1 SHOT whiskey and then water as hot as you can stand in a good sized coffee mug... you'll sweat a lot and sleep like a baby... usually one-two days/nights of this, and I'm good to go...
By the way, this is the only time I tend to drink. I tend to drink nothing stronger that Cola, tea, lemonade and water...so, its not like I am a big drinker...just in case you wondered...hehe

Re: Flu treatment advice needed. Lots of water, but also orange juice or other fruit juices and plenty of vitamin C. You have to stay hydrated.
Another thing I have used is flattened clear soda... Sprite or 7-UP (pour back and forth in two glasses to get rid of most of the bubbles)...
Also, chicken broth and crackers as well as warm jello...to help alleviate dry heaves... it is usually better to have something light on your stomach.
FLUIDS are very important. As is REST, and some nutrients.
Then, of course, you can try my "spirited" helpers... Blackberry Brandy and whiskey hot toddy... look at the strings below for these suggestions.
