Re: Flu treatment advice needed.
The flu needs to be treated by drinking a lot of liquids and resting. A hot cup of tea with honey, lemon and ginger might help. I particularly don't think that taking the flu shot prevents you of getting the flu a 100%, since the flu is caused by a virus and this mutates very quickly, so when you get the shot you might be getting it for an older type of virus which won't be effective for the newer types.

Not only drinking lots of water, but fruit drinks like orange juice, orange banana juice, etc. Coke is good to because it helps settle the stomach. Try eating bland foods. Soups and jellos are good.

My advice is to rest, to get some one to bring you up a light meal if you think you can manage some food your gonna your need your stringh. I suggest 3 days bed rest, take some pain killers if needed. stay off your feet, get a ice pack or a damp wash colth. put it on your head to calm you down ok.

Drink plenty of fluids, and juice with vitamin C. Keep the air moist, even a pan of boiling
water to make steam, if you have no vaporizer.
Eat soups and light foods.

Get a flu shot every year if possible

The one small thing EVERYONE seems to overlook ... its VIRAL. Cold or cool air can put it in stasis for a long time. it can live on surfaces for a very long time. It only requires oxygen, bodily fluid, water or sweat or blood to feed on. Number Two: It requires a warm, moist invironmnet to REPLICATE more freely. Lungs, blood, skin temperature, warm moist areas.
First line of defense: WASHING HANDS frequesntly because it is small enough to entire through pores in the skin. Second Line: use rubber gloves when washing down furniture, door handles, table or desktops and use a disenfectant such as BLEACH. And if you get the flu: REMEMBER it is a viral infection, treat as a toxin. Your body is trying to irradicate it so help it by drinking lots of water, getting rest, aspirin for pains and fever. Tea is good because you urinate alot. (without the sugar) WHY? Glucose is a natural food source for toxins and virus's. REST because you are not turning fat into glucose, your body requires less food and can begin repairs quicker. REPAIRS? Uh-HUH, Virals destroy cells which the body is mandated by natural law to replace, which it cannot do without the ingredients and the time to do it.
AW, yes. I did say ingredients for rebuilding cells. So taking vitimins helps, eating vegetables (fresh) helps and fish. No starches required. And lastly, acidity. The acidity of your body and the amount of oxygen in the blood fight off infection fast and increase the repair side of the body as well. Eat a few peppers too. How long: 90 percent of the flu symptoms top out within 48 hours. The first 24 hours from when you notice it is the worst part. Keep hydrated and cool (if possible), drink or eat some peppers and vegetables. Inbetween water, drink some tea or green tea. Thats about it. thanxQuote:

Please give your best advices on how to treat the flu. Everytime I get the flu I get knocked out completely. I wish I had better ways to handle it. I know it's good to drink a lot of water and try to stay in bed. What more can be done?

I take a daily dose of certain vitamins. I'm sure this helps at least somewhat, since I do not get the flu all that often. I take bee pollen tablets, a multi-vitamin, niacin, chromium (piccolinate) and selenium. I also try to eat fruits and vegetables and drink enough water.

Any time that I get a cold or flu, I realize that I am not getting enough sleep/rest and probably not washing my hands often enough.
When I get the flu treating the symptons with bed rest eating warm broth and drinking teas.
For provention I get a flu shot. After the third vacinnation I either don't get sick or have very mild flu-like systems.

Re: Flu treatment advice needed.
I think the flu shot DO HELP. One year I did not get the shot and came down with the flu that was terrible. I have diabetes with a host of other major illnesses and having the flu is very dangerous. so now every year I get the shot and have NOT gotten the flu bug. But, I also drink tons of water, take 1000mg of vit C 3 times a day, with a host of other vitamins, minerals and green tea. What helps to not get the flu is wash those hands! Everytime you go shopping, take those disinfectant toweletts and wipe down the handle of the cart before even touching it. When you get home, wash your hands! Also, during the height of the flu season, try to stay home if possible and only go out when necessary.

Wishing all good health,

I researched the Avian Flu (H5N1) and found out it was closely related to the Feline Flu and other information that will probably bore most of you.

So, here it is; take a natural base Multivitamin,Brewers Yeast, the Dynamic Duo (Echinacea and Garlic) suggest taken in plant form,Beta-Carotene, and stop any consumption of antibotics. That's right, Antibotics aren't good for our bodies. Our natural immune system is weakened by antibotic use. So, build up your immune system.

Check with your doctor and the many websites available on what I listed. It's the only smart thing to do.

This is what worked for my family, friends, and self. All thanked me. I told them to thank God and if it works for you, please do the same.

God Bless,

Clay Booker
